What is a dream? There can be so many different definitions. I see a very visible thread running through all of them. The thread runs like this...
Aspiration~Inspiration~Reverie
Aspiration puts you in the state of asking.
Inspiration puts you in the place of being with who you are with these questions.
Reverie has as its base word, "reveiller" or to wake up, the ultimate clarity.
To be a dreamer in many circles is to be foolish. It is said, usually with exasperation about someone whose aim is not appreciated or known.
It is interesting that this train of thought has occurred; it has boggled my mind for a long while, actually. I suppose because most would call me a dreamer. I tend to "float with aim"
Yet, I have seen the world all my life, as being full of dreamers. My view on it has not changed.
I think the reason some don't see themselves as dreamers is because they have defined it. (Always a dangerous thing to do, in my opinion.) Anyone with an aspiration, with inspiration, and a goal, has dreamt. They have hoped. Anyone who thinks is a dreamer and a creator.
Somewhere along the way, a definition, implying foolishness and impracticality became associated with being a dreamer.
Accountants, scientists, farmers, and any manner of hard-working citizens are just as much dreamers as any other human.
Accounts exist because someone put the money in. Accounts are balanced by someone who aspired to know how much was in them. Accountants ask to find out the amount, be with the findings and then are clear about the possibilities for that money.
I challenge you to look at those around you and find one person who is not a dreamer in some way, shape, or form.
It is time "to awaken." Stop limiting yourself.
Awakening doesn't mean stop dreaming.
Awakening is seeing that "...merrily, merrily, life is but a dream."
